Spartak lost in Czech republic to Nimburk in the championships of the United VTB league - 73:74. It's the second lost of our team in the tournament and now we are on the second place in the group B.

Before Adrian Abrams, guard of the hosts, 24 seconds before the final siren scored a decisive shot in the last quarter, everything was getting to the point that this Monday victories in VTB United League matches will gain the representatives of Russia – Khimki, UNICS and Spartak. But basketball players of Nymburk were very determined and came out on top against one of the leaders of group B.

In debut of the match the American legionaires of the hosts made a jerk 15:4 and 21:14 after three-pointer by Abrams at the end of the first quarter. And in the middle of the next period it was Chester Simmons who scored from behind the arc and allowed Nymburk to gain 16 points advantage.

But Spartak gradually began to score from the distance and Yotam Halperin shortly before the big break managed to score three free-throws in a row. And Loukas Mavrokefalidis slotted the ball in during the last few minutes of the first half - 43:34 in favor of the home team.
After the break Spartak continued to increase the advantage, making mainly three-point shots- and after two accurate throws by Beverley the intrigue revived - 45:44! Nymburk again tried to regain the advantage – «+9» after accurate shot by Lamayne Wilson at the beginning of the fourth quarter. But Spartak players established their game in defense and didn’t let the opponent to score a single point for eight minutes!

The Jerk of Spartak 15:0 became for Nymburk «-6» two minutes before the end. Players of the Czech team joined the fight in time and 31 seconds before the final siren the hero of the match Wilson made the score 72:73.

Spartak still had the initiative – one point advantage and the right to lead the ball. And the guard Patrick Beverley decided to score from the distance but failed. And Abrams scored the ball during the last seconds... But in the last attack of the basic time Beverly could bring victory to Spartak, however failed to score for the second time from behind the arc.
