Press conference after the game "Turk Telekom" - "Spartak"

After the game Turk Telekom – Spartak the head coach of Spartak Zvi Sherf and the guard Vasily Zavoruev gave their commentaries about the game.

Zvi Sherf (head coach, Spartak): “Today was the atmosphere of fighting. The game was very tough. We made too many mistakes in the second quarter and permitted Turkish team to have success in the match. On the other side Turkish team, especially Dudley and Acik, played very good. May be it was the best game of Telekom in Eurocup. We have last game of this round with Bilbao next week. We go home and prepare for this game. Bilbao is very good team but we’ll try to use home advantage to win the game.

Vasily Zavoruev (guard, BC Spartak): “It’s very difficult to say something right now. All the team is very disappointed. We played in defense not on the level that we can play. And we have too many open shoots including myself. We don’t start to say any excuses for this. But I can promise that we’ll give 200 percents preparing ourselves for the game with Bilbao. We don’t have any other chance for qualifying in the next round”.  

Merih Cakiroglu (head coach, Turk Telekom): "We had a significant win. We played good defense and that allowed us to win. We want to win our last road game now. We depend on the result that Bilbao can get with Spartak, so hopefully they will win"

Umit Sonkol (forward, Turk Telekom): "We had a very good fight with Spartak and the result was good for us. Now we have to win our last game and wait for a small gesture from Bilbao in the last week!"
