The youth team of Spartak went to the training camp in Vinni, Estonia. It will be the last stage of the preseason preparation. The camp will be up to October 12.
But the youth and the junior teams of Spartak had already official games on September 22-25. The first stage of European youth basketball league was in St.Petersburg. Our teams played with teams from Russia, Estonia, Sweden and Belarus.

In the second match with Khimki-2 our youth team couldn't repeat the success like in the first game. That time Spartak-2 lost with big difference - 64:87. It happened because of some lack of success and luck and also some relax. Red-whites lost 14 points in the first half, then they won 9 points in the third quater but Khimki won the last quater.

If yesterday the main teams of Spartak and Khimki had the match and Khimki won 8 points, today the youth teams of these clubs played. And today Spartak won 8 points - 80:72. The advantage of Spartak was 20 points some minutes before the end and Evgeny Kisurin gave a time to play for the player of the youth team Yury Pershin and to Nikolay Novikov who missed the first part of the season because of the problems with health.

Russian junior team took part in international tournament in Spain at December 28-30. The interesting fact that only 7 players were in the team. Because of troubles in Domodedovo only 7players, doctor and team manager could came to Spain. Other players and coaches stayed in the airport waiting for another plane but they didn't meet it. 6 players (one got injury) beat Germany and Italy, lost to Spain and took 2nd place. The audience appreciated game of Russian team and supported it. Two players of Spartak's junior team Yury Pershin and Artem Popov were there.

Spartak-2 in St.Petersburg played two games with Triumph-2 in the PBL championships of youth teams. If the advantage of our young players was not big in the first match - 82:78, the difference in the second one wasn't small - 90:69.

In the last game of the EYBL second stage Spartak's junior team lost to Ventspils - 75:96. Evgeny Voituk took 20 points, Artem Pisarchuk - 18, Kirill Sokolov - 16.
Finally, Spartak took 2nd place on the stage having 4 victories in 5 games.

In Latvia Spartak's junior team won two more matches in the second stage of European youth basketball league. Our players beat ASK from Latvia - 88:79 and Puntukas from Lithuania - 72:60.
In the first game Evgeny Voituk took 37 points and made 10 rebounds, Evgeny Marinin took 18 points, Artem Pisarchuk - 15. In the second game Pisarchuk and Marinin took 19 points, Maxim Bumakov - 13.

The second stage of European youth basketball league is held on Gulbene, Latvia now. The junior team of Spartak takes part in it. Also some players from youth team are there. In the first two matches Spartak beat Chekhovsky yastreby (Chekhov) - 63:61 and Barons from Latvia - 67:57.

The first stage of European youth basketball league was held in Chekhov. In Moscow region the team consisted from players from Spartak's youth and junior teams went in new roster. Some new players are in the junior team.
The players of Alexander Polyakov won 4 games - with Liepaja (Latvia), Barsy Atirau (Kazakhstan), Dinamo (Moscow), BGUIR-RCOR (Belarus) and lost to Khimki.

The camp of Spartak's youth team comes to the end. Yesterday the players of Evgeny Kisurin took 2nd place in the tournament in Vitebsk where the team had two victiries - it beat Cherkassky Mavpy (73:65) and Turiba (71:65) and it lost to Lokomotiv-KIS (83:85).
The head coach of Spartak-2 Evgeny Kisurin says about the camp:
"The tournament was organized well. All players of the team took part in the games because now it's very important for us to check all of them in "fight" conditions. We had good moments and mistakes in the matches. The main thing is the fact that guys got experience of making decisions on the court. We had good competitors. Cherkassky Mavpy is the team of Ukrainian superleague, Turiba takes part in Latvian championships. It's young team where players are 24-24 years old. Players in Lokomotiv-KIS are older - they are 26-28 years old. It's very important for us now to play with older rivals who are stronger physically.

The youth and junior Spartak's teams also continue to prepare for the season as the main team. The junior team returned to St.Petersburg after the camp in Latvia which it had together with the youth team and now trains in the city.
Spartak-2 and some players from junior team are in the training camp in Belarus. Now the team of Evgeny Kisurin takes part in the tournament in Vitebsk. Alexander Knyazuk and Evgeny Fidiy from Spartak-2 are in Bormio with the main team.
Today Spartak-2 beat Cherkassky Mavpy - 73:65. Alexander Matveev took 17 points, Ivan Feschenko - 12.
Tomorrow Spartak-2 will play with Lokomotiv-KIS from Belarus and on Monday with Turiba from Riga.
The youth team of Spartak will return in St.Petersburg in the end of the next week. The rosters of the youth and junior teams will be defined after the camps.

Today in Vyborg the basketball tournament of the II summer youth Spartakiade finished by final game. St.Petersburg team played with the team of Moscow which consisted mainly by players of CSKA and Dinamo's youth teams. Players of Spartak were on the court and also they were among coaches of both teams. Evgeny Kisurin and Andrey Maltsev played in Spartak together some years ago and won CIS championships with the team. Now they are the head coaches of youth teams of Spartak and CSKA respectively and they were the head coaches of St.Petersburg and Moscow's teams in Vyborg. The team of Maltsev won today.

The team of St.Petersburg beat the team of Leningrad region in the semifinal of the II summer youth Spartakiade with score 90:65. Tomorrow our team will play in final.
Alexander Knyazuk took 19 points and made 7 rebounds. Alexey Kurtsevich took 18 points, made 5 rebounds and 3 blockshots. Evgeny Fidiy - 22 points. Kirill Kuznetsov - 4 points and 7 rebounds.

The team of Saint-Petersburg won two rest games in the group stage of the II summer youth Spartakiade. Our team beat the team of Chelyabinsk region and Udmurtia republic. On Thursday St.Petersburg team beat the team of Chelyabinsk region - 86:66. Alimgan Fedushin took 22 points and made 7 rebounds, Alexey Kurtsevich took 15 points and made 15 rebounds. Alexander Korchagin took 11 points and made 7 rebounds. Kirill Kuznetsov took 15 points.

The team of Saint-Petersburg won second match in Vyborg where basketball tournament of the II summer youth Spartakiade takes place. Now our team beat the team of the South federal district which consists from the players of Lokomotiv-Kuban-2, the winner of Russian youth championships-2010. The score in the game was 93:76. Alimgan Fedushin took 39 points, 17 - Gleb Maximenko, 11 - Kirill Kuntetsov, 10 - Alexei Kurtsevich.

Today basketball tournament on the II summer youth Spartakiade began in Vyborg. Saint-Petersburg team is headed by the head coach of Spartak-2 Evgeny Kisurin. And there are mainly the players of our youth team in in. In the final of the U18 European championships Lithuania beat Russian team - 90:61. Lithuania contolled the game from the beginning and during all the game had big enough advantage.

In semifinal match of the U18 European championships Russia beat Latvia with more than 30 points - 73:42. Only after the first quater the score was equal, then Russian players increased their advantage and won 17 points in the last quater.
Artem Pisarchuk took 3 points and made 2 rebounds, Evgeny Marinin - assist.
On Sunday Russia will play in final with Lithuania which beat Serbia only with one point in semifinal.

Russia finally beat France in not simple quaterfinal game with overtime in the U-18 European championships. Our players made nervous themselves and their fans that followed the game by Internet text on-line. Missed free throws from both teams, technical foul to our coach and bench in the end of the match and emotions of winners said about passions which were on the court.
Finally, 73:68. Russia will play with Latvia in semifinal on Saturday.
