The fairytale in the second game

“Spartak-2” met “Lokomotiv-Kuban-2” in the BEKO PBL youth championship on January 9 and 10. And if the first match was lost by our team with the difference of 2 points — 89-91, the second one was a more than convincing victory — 78-60.

The first match has Evgeniy Fidiy with 17 points and 7 rebounds, Aleksander Matveev who is gaining his shape after an injury with 17 points, Aleksander Knyazuk with 15 points and 6 rebounds. It should be noted that 8 representatives of “Spartak-2” participated in the game.

The first quarter of the second match was lost by 5 points, but the second and the third were won with a lead of 28 points.

Alexander Matveev scored 22 points and picked up 6 rebounds. Double-double was obtained by Evgeniy Fidiy — 15 points and 11 rebounds. 15 points and 7 rebounds are by Aleksander Knyazuk.

Having prevailed in 10 matched out of 16, “Spartak-2” holds the 6th place in the tournament table. The next games are to be away games: out team will play “Khimki-2” on January 12 and 13.
